On Monday, April 7, 2025, a significant meeting took place at the headquarters of the Regional Conference of Western Universities (CRUO) at Oran 2 University. The meeting was presided over by Professor CHAALAL Ahmed and attended by notable figures, including Ms. TALEB Chahinez, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. FARAKA Rabeh, Director of the National Agency for the Promotion of Research Results and Technological Development (ANVREDET).

This gathering brought together vice-rectors of universities and deputy directors responsible for postgraduate training and scientific research. The main objective of the meeting was to present and elaborate on the President of the Republic’s Prize for Innovative Projects, a prestigious initiative aimed at fostering innovation and research within the academic community.

The prize targets two main categories of participants: Students—Encouraging young talents to engage in innovative projects and teacher-researchers and university hospital professors—recognizing the contributions of academic staff and professionals in advancing scientific knowledge and technological development.

The discussions centered on the mechanisms, criteria, and processes involved in the prize, aiming to increase awareness and participation from academic institutions across the region.
